Festival of Words extravaganza will return Tuesday 15 to Sunday 20 October 2019 in various East Riding Libraries and at the Treasure House, Beverley. We've invited an fascinating amazing selection of bestselling and emerging authors and speakers.

You can get a day pass for Saturday's "Murder Day" and see a thrilling line-up of crime and detective authors, or "Explore Belonging" with our Sunday Day Pass (Sold Out) which guarantees you a seat in The Big Read as well as enjoying an enchanting afternoon with our drama genre authors with tea and cakes included.

2019 Poetry Competition

The East Riding Festival of Words 2019 poetry competition is now open for entries. This year's theme is 'My Mind, My Thoughts'. Entries will be judged by a panel of published Yorkshire poets, led by James Nash. Poems are submitted anonymously, so each entry is judged on its own merits.
