Description
Should you write a series, or should you write standalones? Should you write about where you live, or should you spread your wings..?

Luca, Stuart and Doug are all crime writers whose reputations stand alone. For our Festival of Words they have agreed to team up to talk about all things crime and in particular how their writing crosses over and where are the differences.

Poetryscope

Using the power of poetry to educate people about dementia. Local poet Catherine Scott is working with East Riding secondary schools around the theme of dementia. Young people will perform their poetry at library reminiscence sessions, for those living with dementia and their carers. A project we are excited to be piloting in the East Riding.

Poetry Competition

If you can say the words, you can write the words. Express yourself through poetry - whatever shape or form - and you could win £50! The competition is free to enter for all school aged children, with one prize for primary and one for secondary.
