Cassandra Parkin is a bestselling author in her own right - The Winter's Child (Legend Press 2017) & Underwater Breathing (Legend Press 2018) and the award-winning short story New World Fairy Tales (Salt Publishing 2011). Cassandra is also a member of Women Of Words, Hull's acclaimed all-female spoken word collective and has performed at the BBC's Contains Strong Language festival, the COOL:ture Festival and the Hull Freedom Festival. Her writing reflects her lifelong fascination with fairy-tales, and their ability to explore the darkest places of the human heart.
Cassandra was born and raised between Hull and Cornwall. She now lives in the East Riding with her husband and two children.
We are delighted to have Cassandra with us this year sharing her knowledge and skills as a bestselling writer in an on-line writing workshop delivered over three weeks from October 7 to 21.
