Biography
Edward Marston was born in Wales, read Modern History at Oxford and soon became a full-time freelance writer. He has written over forty plays for radio, television and the theatre, and hundreds of episodes of drama series. He is best known for his series about crimes on Victorian railways, but he has also written the Domesday series, the Nicholas Bracewell novels set in the world of Elizabethan theatre, the Restoration series, the Captain Rawson series, the Bow Street Rivals series and the Home Front Detective novels, set during the Great War.
